Mowing, trimming, mulching and scarifying lawns

In order to be able to provide the best possible care for your lawn areas, we have a multitude of useful gardening tools for the lawn, whether petrol, cordless or electric devices: Scarifiers (lawn aerators), lawn mowers, mulching lawn mowers, strimmers and garden shears.

Scarifiers and lawn aerators are ideally suited for removing moss and for aerating your lawn. With the IKRA lawn mowers you can mow small, medium and large lawns easily. You can find guidance in order to find the best lawn mower for your lawn area in our "Lawn mowers by area" section. Some IKRA lawn mowers can be used as mulching mowers thus providing your lawn with nutrients directly from the mowed grass cuttings. Lawn edges can be precisely finished, for example at pathways and walls, with IKRA strimmers or grass shears.

Of course the lawn tools also complement one another: Use the scarifier to scarify the lawn in the spring after the lawn is mown for the first time. Scarifiers and lawn aerators break up the grass, loosen the moss and other matted material. You can find out more about scarifying in our tips section: Why and when should the lawn be scarified? You can find extensive information here: "Scarifiers & lawn aerators". Cut all of the corners and edges that you could not reach with the lawn mower, with a strimmer or grass shears. You do not need to stoop to trim the edges of the lawn with the grass shears. Use a wheeled pole from IKRA for this. Tend to your lawn with IKRA lawn tools.

Felling trees, cutting trunks to length and delimbing, cutting firewood and shredding branches

Powerful chainsaws cut through wood "like butter". The reliable and sharp chainsaw chains are branded products from the chain manufacturer OREGON. You can purchase chainsaws and pole-mounted chainsaws for tree care here in the IKRA shop.

IKRA Chainsaws enable you to carry out work such as tree felling, lopping or trimming. The cutting of firewood can be conveniently dealt with. You can reach high branches in trees effortlessly with pruners from IKRA - without having to use ladders or scaffolding. The pole-mounted chainsaws for trimming fruit trees are particularly well-loved and popular.

A great deal of tree and hedge cuttings will have accumulated in your garden after trimming trees, shrubs and hedges. The blade or roller shredders will reliably take care of these branches and twigs. The finely chopped branches and twigs can now be put in the organic waste bin, where they will now take up much less space, or added to the compost heap for further decomposition.

Hedge shaping & cutting back and shredding branches and twigs

Sharp cutters chop through branches and twigs on hedges. For trimming your hedges you can purchase hedge trimmers (e.g. the Ultralight, lightweight hedge trimmer) and telescopic hedge trimmers.

Trim your hedges and shrubs to the perfect shape or cut them back with IKRA hedge trimmers. With telescopic hedge trimmers you can reach boughs and branches on particularly high hedges - without having to clamber about on a wobbly ladder. Shrub shears are useful when shaping small hedges and when cutting back bushes. You also have the option to purchase telescopic extensions here so that you no longer need to reach and stretch with this tool when trimming shrubs.

Information on Ultralight hedge trimmers:

Ultralight lightweight hedgetrimmer

When trimming hedges, the weight of the tool is a very important factor. The weight determines whether working with the hedge trimmer causes fatigue in the arms and shoulders. With a total weight of just 1.9 kg, the ultralight FHS 1545 hedge trimmer is the lightest electric hedge trimmer in the world with two-hand safety switching. The light hedge trimmer looks after your shoulders and arms. The Ultralight hedge trimmer is manufactured in Germany ("Made in Germany"). The Do-It-Yourself magazine "SELBST" assessed the lightest electric hedge trimmers in the world (with 2-hand safety switching) with the classification "VERY GOOD". Light. Lighter. ULTRALIGHT.

The trimmed branches and twigs can be easily shredded with the IKRA garden shredders. Here you have the choice between blade shredders and roller shredders. Branches and twigs that you feed into the devices will be very finely shredded and crushed. The shredded branches and twigs of the hedge cuttings etc. can be added to the compost heap or the organic waste bin, where they will now take up much less space.

The cultivator is a real help when digging over and refining the soil in flower beds and vegetable beds. With its sharp blades, the tiller can also easily remove weeds and roots from the beds.
