Saw chains and accessories for chainsaws and pruners

You can carry out tree-felling, pruning and lopping with chainsaws. Chainsaws are also very helpful for chopping firewood. You can reach high branches and boughs in trees with the pruners. The pole-mounted chainsaw is especially useful for trimming fruit trees.

Chainsaws can only achieve their best results when they are sharp. Blunt chains can also cause the motor to overheat. Sharpen the chain with our chain files or replace the chain. Damaged or broken saw chains must be replaced immediately for safety reasons.

All of the saw chains in our shop are high-quality chains from brand manufacturer OREGON. You can find the respective chain designation for your chainsaw in the operating instructions. This chain designation takes for following form, for example: 91PJ057X

You can also purchase saw chains for older models of chainsaws from us. You can also use the chain guide (for IKRA models) to assist you when looking.

Saw chains for chainsaws and pruners

Original OREGON chains

Chainsaws have proved to be reliable partners for felling trees, delimbing or chopping tree trunks and of course chopping firewood for heating. When using a chainsaw you should always be standing safely on the ground and not clambering around at unsafe heights on ladders and scaffolding. Use the pole pruner to reach branches in the upper regions of a tree, for trimming fruit trees for example. With both tools, you can only achieve the best cutting results with a sharp chain. If the chain is blunt, you have two options: Either you sharpen the chain with a chain file (round file / flat file) or replace the chain. Sharpen the chain at regular intervals. Chains that are too blunt must be replaced. Of course you could also rely on a chain sharpening specialist here.

If you no longer wish to sharpen your blunt chain or if the chain is broken or defective, you can purchase the right chain for your chainsaw from us. Note that blunt saw chains will no longer provide good cutting results and the chain being blunt can also result in the chainsaw motor overheating. Do not attempt to repair broken or damaged chains yourself, but rather replace these immediately for safety reasons and to avoid injuries.

Where can you find the right chain?

The chain designation can be found on the packaging, in the operating instructions or on the guide bar, for example. You can find the article number or the original OREGON chain designation, e.g. 91P033X, in the original operating instructions. You can find the chain pitch, drive link width or thickness and the number of drive links on the packaging and on the guide bar. With all this data you are able to determine and order the right replacement chain. You can find all of the corresponding data in the "Data & facts" and in the article description in the IKRA online shop: Article number, OREGON number, chain pitch, drive link width or thickness and the number of drive links.

Can't find the article number or the OREGON number or can't find the data to purchase a suitable saw chain? Saw chains are very easily specified. Chainsaw chains differ in terms of pitch, drive link width and the number of drive links. If the model designation or manufacturer is not known, you must determine these three values in order to be able to find the right chain in our IKRA shop. To determine the pitch, measure the distance between 3 rivets. The thickness of a drive link can be found by measuring with a calliper. In order to determine the number of drive links, simply count them.

You can find all of the corresponding data in the "Data & facts" and in our article descriptions: Chain pitch, drive link width or thickness and the number of drive links.

Here is a brief overview of our chains with pitch, drive link width and number of drive links:
